Leather Boot Care

We have received many requests over the last few months on how to care for our leather boots. Here are a few things to know about boot care.

#1-As soon as you purchase your new boots or if your boots seem to be dry or have lost their sheen, apply neatsfoot oil or mink oil to make them supple and shiny again, and acts as water proofing for the leather; reapply after subsequent cleanings.

#2- If your boots go through mud or become soiled, do not let the mud dry,if possible. Use room temperature water and a soft brush to remove the dirt and grime then wipe clean with a damp cloth.

#3- after cleaning or if the boots are just wet, you should set them out open or hang them upside down to dry. Ensure that they are not placed in direct sunlight or near heat sources as this may cause the leather to curl, crack, and generally lose life span. Apply your oil or polish of choice after the boots are completely dry.

#4- Enjoy your boots!
